LOS ANGELES, Oct 7, 2026 - Eat With Me now has achievements: 22 badges to earn by eating, exploring and showing up, from bronze to gold. A new shelf on your profile lets you pin three favourites and see your progress toward the next one.

How it works

Each badge unlocks on its own criteria: some count something, like trying a number of cuisines or checking in on time again and again, and show your progress toward the next one. Unlocking a badge shows a quick toast, and a gold badge gets a bigger, full-screen moment the first time you earn one.

The problem

There wasn't a way to see the small habits that make Eat With Me work, like showing up on time, trying something new or sticking with a routine, reflected back at you anywhere on your profile.

The solution

Achievements track those habits directly: eating, exploring, consistency, social habits and contributing back to the community, from bronze to gold. Many badges also show how many other students have earned them, once enough students are eating for that to mean something. Other students can see up to three of your pinned badges and your badge count on your profile, respecting a private profile or a block. Badges are never tied to Elo or reliability, none of them need spending money or inviting anyone, and once a badge is earned, it stays earned. A few hidden ones are also waiting to be discovered, so the shelf has something left to find.

“I didn't realize how many meals I'd had at the same place until a badge told me about it. Now I check the shelf on my profile just to see what's close, and pinning my favourites feels like showing off a little without saying anything.”

Illustrative quote

“We wanted badges that reward showing up and eating together, not spending money or chasing a score, and we wanted a few of them to stay a surprise, so the shelf is worth exploring and not just a checklist to clear.”
